Welcome, and thanks for dropping by. I created The Nature of Things to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
My mission is to educate and empower the public with comprehensive, accessible information about nature and the sustainable use and stewardship of natural resources.
Through engaging content in various forms and on various platforms, I aim to inspire informed action and a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and responsibility.
By connecting people with the wonders of the natural world, I strive to cultivate a harmonious relationship between humanity and the environment, ensuring a thriving planet for future generations.
I have created a “Library” of books and Nature of Things Notes on a second website called The Dodson Group. Most of the books are free to read and/or download, while some are available for purchase through my eBay store called The Conservation Company. Check out the growing library of information on The Dodson Group website by CLICKING HERE.
I am focusing on writing The Nature of Things blog and a couple of books that are in process. I also enjoy photography, some of which I poste on Flickr and occasionally like creating videos that I post on my Nature of Things YouTube Channel and on TikTok.
I invite you to join (it is free!) The Nature of Things Facebook Group. Join with a growing group of hundreds of other nature lovers, and share your pictures, ask questions and join in on the fun. Visit and join The Nature of Things Facebook Group by CLICKING HERE.
I created The Dodson Group, LLC to publish environmental conservation materials related to advocating Conservation Lifestyles and sustainability in the hopes of getting people to help conserve wildlife where we live, work and play. If you are interested in educational information, books, (digital and regular books) about conservation Lifestyles and sustainability CLICK HERE.
Finally, I manage “Re-Commerce” business through an eBay store called The Conservation Company Store.
We live in a society where waste seems to be a way of life. We waste more than 40% of the food that is produced in the United States. We are filling up landfills faster than new ways of handling all of the waste that is generated by our constant buying habits and the result is loss of important wildlife habitat, polluted water and wasted energy needed to produce new items and then dispose of all of the waste that is created. So under the banner of “Re-Commerce” I am advocating: Reduction, Re-Use, Re-Cycling and Re-Selling.
That is why I started my own Re-Selling efforts by creating an online store called The Conservation Company. Proceeds that I generate through my reselling efforts all goes toward the support of conservation and environmental education.
All the best,
Ron
