Most of us go through our day noticing things…
- Something doesn’t seem right.
- Something doesn’t make sense.
- Something just makes you stop and think:
“What’s going on here?”
The Nature of Things is where I explore those moments.
It’s where I step back and look at what’s really behind what we see every day—
in nature, in business, in communities, and in our own lives.
Because more often than not, what we see on the surface isn’t the real story.
Over time, I’ve come to believe that many of the problems we deal with are not really problems at all…
They are signals.
Signals that something deeper—some system—is not working the way we think it is.
In these writings, I try to make sense of those signals in plain English.
- No jargon.
- No preaching.
Just one person sharing what he’s seeing and thinking—
the same way I would if we were sitting across the table having a cup of coffee.
Why This Might Matter to You
Whether you work in business, government, education, or just everyday life…
You are operating inside systems every day.
- Financial systems
- Natural systems
- Organizational systems
- Community systems
Understanding those systems—even just a little better—can save time, reduce frustration, and lead to better decisions.
